Terms of Service

These terms apply to your use of the Sathee: AI Exam Prep Free Android application (com.sathee_app) and the SATHEE web portal (together, the “Service”). By using the Service you accept these terms.

1. What the Service is

SATHEE is a free exam-preparation platform offering study material, video lectures, practice questions, and mock tests for competitive examinations. It is provided for educational purposes as a public initiative. Access is free of charge; we do not charge a fee for the core preparation content.

2. Eligibility and your account

You may need an account to use some features. You agree to give accurate registration details and to keep your account credentials and one-time passcodes confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe it has been used without your permission. If you are a minor, you should use the Service with the involvement of a parent, guardian, or teacher.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• copy, redistribute, resell, or publicly re-publish the study material, question banks, or video content;
• use automated means to scrape, bulk-download, or overload the Service;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to any account, server, or system, or interfere with the Service's normal operation;
• manipulate tests, scores, or reward points by artificial means;
• upload unlawful, misleading, infringing, or abusive content, or impersonate another person.

We may suspend or terminate access that breaches these terms.

4. Content and intellectual property

The Service and its content — text, questions, solutions, video lectures, graphics, and software — belong to IIT Kanpur or its licensors and are protected by law. You get a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive right to use the content for your own preparation only. All other rights are reserved.

5. Third-party content and links

The Service may include or link to material from third parties. We are not responsible for the accuracy or availability of third-party material, and a link does not imply endorsement.

6. No guarantee of results

The Service is educational support. We make no promise of any particular examination result, rank, or admission. Study material, questions, and mock tests are prepared with care but may contain errors, and examination patterns set by examining bodies may change. Always confirm important details against the official notification of the examining body.

7. Availability and changes

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Features may be added, changed, or withdrawn, and access may be interrupted for maintenance or reasons beyond our control. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of data, or loss of opportunity arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

9. Privacy

Our handling of your information is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. You can request deletion of your account and data at any time — see Data Deletion.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The current version is always published on this page with its effective date. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh have jurisdiction over any dispute.
